Framed around one ordinary day, this book explores daily life through the lens of liturgy, small practices, and habits that form us. Each chapter looks at something author Tish Harrison Warren does in a day-making the bed, brushing her teeth, losing her keys-and relates it to spiritual practice as well as to our Sunday worship.

The warp and woof of everyday

Read my longer review at SpoiledMilks 12.8.17. Tish Harrison Warrens, Liturgy of the Ordinary, invites readers to see everyday routines such as waking up, cooking, and cleaning as sacred acts that embody worship. Warren, an Anglican priest, reflects on how the ordinary moments of life become opportunities to meet Christ and grow in faith. The book blends personal anecdotes with theological insights, encouraging believers to find Gods presence in the mundane. While some liturgical references might feel foreign to non liturgical traditions (baptists like me), Warrens core message transcends denominational lines. Her call to embrace patience, prayer, and presence amid daily struggles is a good reminder that faith is about faithfully living in the everyday. This book came free from the publisher for an honest review.
