“Chai loved exploring the country house, especially the cellar. There he saw a small, round animal with a long face, very short legs and it was covered with prickly spines.”

It is Christmas Eve. While the three kittens watch the Quinnlings play in the snow, Chai, investigates the cellar. There he meets an unexpected and spiky friend. Chai’s actions teach the kittens the importance of caring for those in need of help.
